Doorpol is an accounting office in Rotterdam specializing in bookkeeping services for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as for self-employed individuals. The company provides comprehensive services, from bookkeeping and tax filings to financial consulting.

Our collaboration with Doorpol began in 2017 when we created the first version of the company’s website using Drupal 7. Besides basic content management functions, the site allowed users to submit tax and healthcare allowance applications.

Migration to a new version of Drupal

After a few years, it was decided to expand the website with new features, such as a client portal, a built-in messaging system or enabling clients to quickly contact office staff. Additional tax forms were also added. During the implementation of these new features, we decided to migrate from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 to maintain consistent system updates.

E-commerce features

With the added e-commerce functionality, users can make payments online through the Dutch online payment system iDeal, immediately after submitting an application.
